I’m going to talk about just that finding the perfect mattress size. I will explain each size one by one how big they are, how they compare, and which one you should choose.
Let’s get started. Now we’re talking about mattress sizes today, but if you’re looking at a mattress, you want to think about your body size and help you out we’re going to have three different body types on each type of mattress. So we have three members of our team of various sizes we have Kelly who’s 4’11 more petite Joe who’s 5’9 more of an average-sized sleeper and then me I’m 6’7 a larger taller sleeper. So definitely take a look at these graphics we’re going to show you to see how your body type would fit for every kind of mattress.
Twin Mattress: first off we have the twin mattress now besides a cribbed or a toddler bed those are the smallest mattress size are going to find if 39 inches wide and 74 inches long it’s also called a single mattress.
Twin XL: now that we have the twin XL. So twin XL is going to be six inches longer than a twin mattress so 39 inches wide and 80 inches long. This is a top-rated sized mattress often found in college dorm rooms.
Double Size Mattress: then we have the full-size mattress. This is 54 inches wide 15 inches wider than a twin or twin XL and 74 inches or 75 inches long. It’s also known as a double-size mattress.

King Size Mattress – Room Size
So now, let’s take a look at how these different sizes of mattresses will fit in an average size bedroom. So in India, the average size bedroom in a house is 14 feet by 16 feet. Again that will depend on the house but in general that’s what we’re looking at so I want to pull up some graphics to show how these different sizes of mattresses fill up that kind of space and how much room you have for things like lamps bedside tables TVs and even dressers. So a king-sized mattress needs about a 10 foot by 12-foot room to fit comfortably, so with an average size bedroom, you’re going to have enough room for a king-size mattress. Still, going down to twin, you know twin XL full cleaning up to King California king. You’re going to have more or less space in that bedroom for other things like dressers and chairs. Also TVs as well but what about those of you who sleep in a smaller bedroom, for instance in an apartment. Well, the average department bed herb is going to be about 11 feet by 12 feet so much smaller than we’re going to find with a master bedroom in a larger house. Now you can see it with a king-size or a California king. It’s going to fit pretty snugly in an apartment bedroom, so you’re not going to have as much room for other items like a TV or a dresser.
Twin Size Mattress – Room Size
But let’s take a look now at how twin mattresses twin excels and other size mattresses fit in an apartment bedroom. Now I want to give you some useful tips and tricks to find the right size mattress for your bedroom. First, off you’re going to want to measure that bedroom either with a measuring tape or look up that information with your apartment for how expansive your bedroom is how long it is as well. That way you’re going to know ahead of time when you’re shopping for the mattress you’re going to find the right size there’s enough room for that mattress also two other items you want like dressers TVs and nightstands as well. You also want to think about your body size, for instance, and if you are a heavier person a taller person, you want to keep that in mind when you’re looking for a mattress. So if you are a much taller person, you might need something as large as a king something as large as a queen. Still, suppose you’re much smaller much on the lighter end. In that case, you don’t need a substantial as large of a mattress you also want to keep your budget in mind you don’t want to spend extra money on a big mattress that you don’t need. For instance, if you’re a smaller person, you don’t need a California king size mattress. You could do fine with a queen-size mattress or something even smaller also want to think about how you’re going to get that mattress into your bedroom how are you going to move that mattress.
Well, if it’s a bed in a box mattress, the first thing is to ask a friend for help to help take that box up your stairs, maybe into your bedroom and then open up that box together. Please don’t open a bed in a box mattress in another room then try to move it inside that can be very unruly and very difficult.
Now, if you live in an upstairs apartment yet on a walk-up apartment in New York, for instance, you might want to hire movers or get some free white Club delivery that a lot of mattress companies offer. Lastly, you want to pay close attention to trial periods and warranties so many times with a bed in a box mattress you can’t try it out before you get it.
So make sure that has a reasonable trial period that comes with it, for instance, some companies have 100 nights 120 nights some go up to an entire year 365 nights to try out that mattress use that time to figure out if it’s the right fit for you if it’s the right size for you if not send it back. It’s straightforward to send it back with many of these companies again and pay close attention to the warranty information because you don’t want to have a mattress start to break down too early because of defective materials or defective construction.

The second question is, what is the size of a queen mattress? Now, most queen mattresses will be 60 inches wide and 80 inches long, and the third question is, is a full-sized mattress big enough for two? Let it depends on the couple. For instance, if it’s a smaller couple, they’re both short and stature. They’re not too heavy enough room in a full-size mattress for someone of their size; however, if there are larger people, they’re taller. If full-sized mattress probably not big enough for those two and the last question is how big the specially sized king mattresses now, the elastic king mattress will be nine feet wide and nine feet tall at Wyoming.
