Best Dishwasher in India 2021 Reviews and Buyers Guide!

let’s talk about the criteria that you may want to use when you are selecting your Best dishwasher in India. let’s start with the question for the post what is the reason you have decided to buy a dishwasher for your home write me a note in the comments and let’s have a chat about it. I have been using a Faber dishwasher for the last six to eight months and I have never been happier. it has made my life extremely easy considering this pandemic and the fact that we do not have house help anymore.
Family Size
The first criteria you have to think about is how many people is the dishwasher going to serve. if you’re a small family of two to three people you may want to consider buying a small compact dishwasher that has about eight place settings. if you have a larger family then you may want to consider buying a dishwasher with 12 or 14 place settings which are available in multiple different brands like IFB, bosch, Faber, LG, and so on.
So what is a place setting you may ask. so one place setting consists of one dinner plate, one dessert plate, a fork, a knife, a spoon, a bowl, a teacup as well a glass. for an eight place setting dishwasher it would mean that you can hold about eight dinner plates, eight dessert plates eight forks, and so on. I hope you got the idea.
I use a 14 place setting dishwasher which is the Faber dishwasher although we are just two people in our family since we are cooking every single day every single meal at home these days and not ordering in I feel that it is useful for my family because we use the dishwasher once a day.

Type of dishwasher – Best Dishwasher
The next criteria that you have to think about are whether you want a free-standing dishwasher or a built-in dishwasher.
if your kitchen has a space that is made for the dishwasher or you are setting up a new home where you have the option of creating a space for the dishwasher you might want to consider buying the built-in or the integrated dishwasher.
In that case, you can match the look and feel of the dishwasher with the cabinetry that you are using in your kitchen. it will be like an integrated system as a part of your kitchen will not be able to make out that it is a dishwasher. however, the most common one in India is the freestanding dishwasher which can be placed anywhere that you like either within your kitchen if you have the space for it or in a utility area if you don’t have space within your kitchen.
I have placed mine in the utility area along with my washing machine which is a perfect fit for the dishwasher itself. most brands available in India come both in built-in as well as freestanding models.
Number one on the list has to be the most important and that’s the type of dishwasher that you’re going for. so there are three main types.
Freestanding Dishwasher: The first type is called freestanding and this is an example of a freestanding dishwasher so you can see all of the front of the dishwasher and they’re a lot easier to install so with these they just slot into space normally either a 45 or 60-centimeter space. so have a good measure before you buy it.
Integrated Dishwasher: the next half is the integrated dishwashers. we do have a lot more of these dishwashers nowadays. now they’re so much more popular especially new houses and the main advantage of an integrated dishwasher is that you’ve got your furniture door. so if in your kitchen if you’ve got appliances in there then you can fully cover the appliance and it looks so much smarter than seeing the front of the dishwasher.
within the integrated dishwashers there are two types there is this type is called a fully integrated dishwasher that’s where you can cover the whole of the dishwasher. there are also semi-integrated dishwashers and that’s where you can see the control panel on the top these are not as popular now and some manufacturers are starting to phase them out.3
So the main advantage of integrated dishwashers is that you get to cover the whole of the dishwasher and you don’t have to see it. if you’ve got a nice kitchen with nice cupboard doors then you get to hide it. the main downside I suppose the main disadvantage of integrated dishwashers whether it’s semi or fully integrated is that the installation cost. so if you haven’t paid someone to install it then it normally costs a bit more to install. so once you’ve got it nailed down whether it’s the fully integrated semi-integrated or freestanding dishwasher then you’re on.
Wash Programs – Best dishwasher in India

The next criteria to consider are the various wash programs that are available in the dishwashers. most dishwashers have an auto mode and eco mode to save energy as well as water.
an intensive mode for vessels like the Kadai or oil leased vessels a delicate mode for glassware and things that can potentially break which can be finished in 30 to 40 minutes and a quick wash mode.
There may be some variants of this in various dishwashers but in my opinion, most dishwashers come with all of these programs and there is little differentiator over here. I mostly use the auto mode for day-to-day use in my dishwasher and it serves me quite well.
Wash Duration
The next criteria are how long does the wash program take and this is quite different based on the type of dishwasher that you buy. a bosch dishwasher. for example, takes about 90 minutes in an autocycle which is fairly quick and my dishwasher which is the Faber dishwasher takes about two and a half hours which is a fairly long time but it does a great job.
So if time is of concern for you you might want to pick a dishwasher who does the job in lesser time. the quick wash cycle in all of these are pretty much similar in 30 to 40 minutes you will be done so that is not a criterion but consider checking the default mode that you will use could be the auto mode.
it could be the intensive mode if you have a lot of Kadai and oil greased vessels in your home. so that might be a consideration on how much time is the dishwasher going to take to complete a full wash cycle
Electricity and Water Consumption
The next criteria are how much water and electricity does the dishwasher consumes. a dishwasher typically takes less water than hand washing. so, in my opinion, that should not be a concern whereas when it comes to electricity.
It depends on the machine that you pick and the cycle that you are running. it would take anywhere between 0.9 kilowatt-hours to 1.3 kilowatt-hours. my auto mode takes about that much electricity it results in about 300 rupees in electricity bill every single month. I have made a different post on the monthly cost of running a dishwasher.
Noise
the next criteria are how much noise does the dishwasher makes most freestanding dishwashers are fairly silent. these days they make anywhere between 30 to 42 decibels in sound which pretty much cannot be heard even within the same room.
I have read that a compact dishwasher or a tabletop dishwasher makes a little bit more noise but I am not sure about that. so if you are using a compact dishwasher drew drop me a comment to let me know how much noise it is making so that everybody who’s reading can be informed about it as well.
An additional point when it comes to noise is to make sure that the leveling of your dishwasher is accurate because that is another big factor that decides how much noise the dishwasher makes.
Child Lock
The other criteria that may be of consideration for you are one is there a child lock feature available or not. most dishwashers these days have it but if it is of concern for you you may want to consider checking if the dishwasher that you are selecting has it.
The second criteria does it allow washing only one particular segment of the dishwasher either the top rack or the bottom rack. so let’s say you have very few vessels that you want to do a quick wash off. you may not be interested in the dishwasher using water that is applicable for a full load.
So you may want to place everything in one single rack and wash just that. most dishwashers again have this option that you can select where the wash cycle needs to happen but you may want to consider that as I don’t find it extremely useful because in general I only run my dishwasher when the load is full.
Drying Feature
The other criteria do it has an extra drying feature. again I don’t find this extremely useful because in general, the dishwasher in an autocycle does a complete drying of the vessel. so I don’t find it useful some dishwashers have this option of enabling extra drying. so you might want to check that if that applies to you.
So that’s all I have for today let me know in the comments why you are considering buying the Best dishwasher in India and which dishwasher are you considering buying.
hi if you’re in the market for a dishwasher but you’re not sure what to go for then you’re not on your own because there’s a lot to choose from. so what I’ve done is I’ve come up with 10 things to consider before buying a dishwasher.
Size of the Dishwasher
Number two on the list and that’s the size of the dishwasher. now what you need to do is just have a quick measure of the space and if it’s a freestanding dishwasher there are three types. so you’ve got the full size that’s like this this is a standard 60-centimeter width so things like the depth are pretty standard on dishwashers. they normally tend to be around 58 to 60 centimeters deep. the heights are all pretty standard at around 85 centimeters. However, the main things that vary are the width so the most popular size is 60 centimeters.
this is the next type of dishwasher this is called a slimline dishwasher and these measure 45 centimeters across. the main advantage is if you’re in a small kitchen or utility and if you are very limited for space then this could be ideal for you. the main downside of this kind of dishwasher is they’re not even though they’re smaller they’re not necessarily cheaper. you can find the freestanding equivalent in the 60-centimeter version might be the same price or even cheaper.
This is the third type of freestanding dishwasher this is called a compact dishwasher and these are ideal where you’re very very limited for space and it needs to sit on a worktop. now this kind of dishwasher is found in our work kitchen utility and within the space, we just wouldn’t have space for us. even a slimline dishwasher let alone a freestanding one and because of the number of people that we work with then we wouldn’t need a full-size dishwasher so this kind of dishwasher is ideal. the main advantage of this kind of dishwasher is that if you are extremely limited for space or say if there’s one person in the household then this could be ideal. what you the main downside is that it again like the slimmer on dishwashers despite the size of them they are normally more expensive so there are not many manufacturers that make these now. However, once you do find them then you will find that the price of these is quite a bit more than a standard dishwasher.
Again within the integrated dishwashers, you have got the option for a full size or slimline. I’ve only got an example of a full-size one here which is 60-centimeter ones you do tend to find that within the slimline ones you can only get them in the fully integrated. as far as I know, there are not any semi-integrated slimline dishwashers because that on the whole is quite a declining market.
Display
number three on the list is does it have a display on the front? The display will show you the time remaining on the program. now that’s a really useful feature and, on any freestanding dishwasher, it’s normally something I do recommend for people to look out for. quite a few of the cheap dishwashers don’t have a full display on them that shows you the time remaining. it just has a countdown indicator which to be fair is not that useful, uh but I’d normally recommend trying to go for one with a proper display. On the integrated dishwashers when you open the door you find a display just in the middle.
